Your new agents are learning on paid leads
Move that learning off the phones with one weekly loop: practice, score, coach, screen.
-
01Practice
Practice before the phones
New agents run your script against AI prospects who push back like real ones.
- Your objections. Spouse, price and "I already have coverage", on demand.
- Any hour. No manager on the line, no calendar to book.
"Kendo matches or beats a human practice partner. The objections are the exact same as real calls."
Kody Skvarla, insurance team lead (1:05-3:43) -
02Score
Score every call against your own script
Set the criteria once. Kendo grades every roleplay and live call the same way, with the moment as evidence.
- Your scorecard. Weighted categories, from discovery to the application.
- One standard. Every producer measured on the same pitch.
"It's no longer about 'I feel, I feel, I feel.' ... This tells me you're not a very good closer. That's okay. We can work on that."
Waylon Artrip, Founder, United Insurance Pros (10:44-13:38) -
03Coach
Coach the gap, then assign the fix
Kendo's feedback points to the moment the call turned. Put the agent on a Training Path and see every step score.
- Every call reviewed. Not the three you had time to hear.
- Training Paths. AI prospects in order, each one scored.
"Kendo buys back time for my leaders so that they can actually go focus on their sales instead of having to spend time roleplaying with individual reps."
Jess Chang, Partner, Globe Life (0:54-1:34) -
04Screen
Screen recruits before you contract them
Send candidates a link to your AI prospect. Review the scored call before the interview.
- One link. Each call arrives with the candidate's name, email and phone.
- Grouped by candidate. Every attempt and the average score sit together in Calls.
- Founder-reported: Luke Alexander says screening time fell about 80% when he hired his last three reps.

Globe Life Insurance
New life insurance agents close at 60%+, up from about 33%
"With my new agents, usually they start out at about like a 30, 33% close rate. Now we're seeing over 60% close rates on new agents."

One insurance agent collected about 2x his typical month
"My call on Kendo with Mary was the exact same as how my actual call just went. Literally almost word for word, the objection, the way they went about it. Then I closed the deal."

FAQ
Questions from agency leaders
What is Kendo, and who is it for?
Kendo is an AI sales training and coaching platform for insurance agencies, IMOs and insurance sales teams. New agents practice your script against AI prospects, Kendo scores every roleplay and live call on your own scorecard, and managers see who needs coaching and assign Training Paths.
Do you use our calls to train AI models?
No, your recordings and transcriptions are not used to train AI models. Kendo uses OpenAI and Anthropic for AI processing, both documented as SOC 2 Type II certified providers. Customer data is logically isolated, access is role-based, and you control retention, export and deletion.
Are you SOC 2 and HIPAA compliant?
Kendo's Security Overview lists its own SOC 2 Type II certification as in progress, with HIPAA on the roadmap and ISO 27001 planned for 2027. The application is hosted on Vercel, and customer data is stored in Google Cloud (Firebase), with TLS 1.3 encryption in transit and AES-256 at rest. MFA is available to all users and can be enforced organization-wide. Enterprise teams can request security questionnaire responses and architecture documentation under NDA, and should confirm the latest certification status and PHI requirements with their compliance team.
How does this fit CMS recording rules and state consent laws?
Kendo reviews recordings that your existing systems capture. Calls arrive from Zoom, Fathom, Fireflies or the Push API, and you control retention, export and deletion inside Kendo. Recording consent, CMS and TPMO requirements, and state rules should be confirmed with your compliance team.
Does Kendo work with our dialer and CRM?
Kendo connects natively to Zoom, Fathom and Fireflies, and takes everything else through its Push API. For a dialer or CRM without a native connector, the Push API accepts a transcript or audio URL, and documented guides cover HubSpot, Salesloft and Aloware. Slack, Zapier and webhooks handle summaries and downstream automation, so send us your stack and we will confirm the path.
What does Kendo cost, and is there a trial?
Pro is $55 per seat per month and Max is $100 per seat per month, billed monthly. Pro includes 180 roleplay minutes per seat and Max includes 480, and teams of 10 or more can move to custom Enterprise pricing. A free trial covers AI roleplay, call review and the AI Sales Manager, and annual billing includes 2 months free.
Will it work for Medicare, final expense and our own scripts?
Kendo lets you build AI prospects around your own product, call type, ICP and objections. Public examples include Medicare closing calls and insurance discovery calls, and scripts, frameworks and company documents can be loaded as context. For a specific line such as final expense or P&C, book a demo and we will walk through your scenario.
Does Kendo replace our managers and trainers?
No, Kendo is built to support managers, not replace them. It automates call review, feedback, training assignment and practice scoring, so managers spend their time on coaching. New agents practice against AI prospects before live calls, and the same scorecard grades practice and live calls.
What can we measure, and how do we see ramp and close-rate impact?
Kendo tracks call scores, skill trends and training activity by rep and by team, using custom scorecards built on your sales process. Dashboards, leaderboards and trend analysis show whether practice scores and live-call scores are improving. Outcomes such as placement, persistency and chargebacks live in your own CRM and carrier reports, so compare them against Kendo score trends.
